What are the chances of getting pregnant from precum and taking plan B?

OK...i didn't take plan B, I took "next choice" because that was the only thing that the drugstore had. I would have went to planned parenthood, but they were closed.

Friday, around 8pm, I had unprotected sex....please don't lecture me on how bad that is, I'm already aware. But I bought Next Choice the next day and took the pill around 4 or 5pm on Saturday. Will I be ok? I know I could have an STD....but unfortunately, that's the least of my worries right now.

So say if I am pregnant...how much would the abortion pill cost at Planned Parenthood if I had signed up for the green card? Don't lecture me on that, either.

Thanks! Any links would raise your chances of getting 10 points

Since you took Next Choice so soon after you had unprotected sex, you should be fine. Emergency contraception can be started up to 120 hours — five days — after unprotected intercourse. The sooner it is started, the better it works. Plan B One-Step and Next Choice reduce the risk of pregnancy by 89 percent when started within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse.

I highly doubt you'll have to worry about the possibility of pregnancy. Since you took emergency contraception so soon after you engaged in unprotected sex, you should definitely be fine. I've taken Plan B twice before and it has worked fine for me both times. However, if you DO end up pregnant, my best advice is to call your local Planned Parenthood ASAP and get the abortion pill. The abortion pill typically costs about $350. If you need an abortion and don't have the money to pay for the abortion, then my best advice is to go to your local Planned Parenthood and just tell them that you need an abortion but don't have the money to pay for it. The doctors and counselors at Planned Parenthood can definitely help you get the services you need. They won't turn you away or refuse to give you the abortion pill, even if you can't pay for it. Planned Parenthood offers low-cost or free abortions to women who cannot afford to pay the normal price of an abortion. If you go to your local Planned Parenthood health care center and just tell them that you have no job, no money, no support, and cannot afford to pay for an abortion, they will just make you fill out some paperwork about your current financial status and then make you pay about $100 for the abortion pill or whatever you can reasonably afford, based on your income. (If you are under 18, they might even be able to arrange for you to have the abortion for free.) To find the Planned Parenthood nearest you, just go to the Planned Parenthood website and type in your zipcode (on the front page):

They don't care about your immigration status at Planned Parenthood, so don't worry about that -- they won't ask to see your green card or anything like that.

Even if it turns out that you're not pregnant, you should go to Planned Parenthood anyway and get tested for STDs. Believe me, if you have contacted something, it's better to find out sooner rather than later, so you can get it treated immediately. Also, you should consider getting on some form of birth control. The people at Planned Parenthood can explain all the different birth control methods to you and help you choose the method that would be best for you. I'm not trying to lecture you, but unless you start using birth control, you probably WILL end up pregnant sooner or later. If you're going to have sex, be responsible and start using birth control. It's always better to be safe than sorry!

I hope that helped! Best of luck with everything.

Since you took Next Choice (which is the generic brand of Plan B) within the first 24 hours, your chance of pregnancy is very low. I have taken it plenty of times and have always been fine. You should go to Planned Parenthood and get on birth control. Since you have the green card, you should be able to get BC for very cheap or even free. I am not sure how much the abortion pill is at Planned Parenthood. I have never looked into it before, but the 2 Planned Parenthood's in my city do not deal with abortions. If you are needing one, they will give you a referral to a clinic that does. I really don't think you have anything to worry so just relax! Your period may be a little late (up to 1 week). Anything later than that and you need to take a pregnancy test. Best of luck!

An unorthodox suggestion . . . .

Provoke a period when you are due, it can even work if you are a bit late. You can do this by using Vitamin C.

Take 12 grams of ascorbic acid - Vitamin C a day until bleeding commences. Specifically use ascorbic acid. Do not use vitamin C with bioflaviniods or has Rose-hips in it. Look for the cheap generic brands, they are usually the ones that have pure ascorbic acid. Doses consisting of 1,000mg every two hours are most common.

The vitamin C -ascorbic acid- works to produce an unfavorable climate within the uterus so that the egg does not implant, or cannot maintain its grip on the uterine wall by stimulating estrogen, and possibly interfering with progesterone.

If you have any questions about it, email me. I have used these methods successfully before. I take 1,000mg every two hours until bleeding commences. You should be waking up every 4 hours and taking your missed doses at night, this ensures that you have a constant level of ascorbic acid in your blood stream. 12grams a day - 1,000mg/1gr every two hours.

Info if you need it . . . .

If you go to a Planned Parenthood clinic that has a low-income program it can be as cheap as 100$. If you tells them you have no job, no money and no support (ie no boyfriend or husband) they will likely have you pay the minimum for the procedure and get donations to cover the rest. 1-800-230-PLAN (1-800-230-7526) to find the Planned Parenthood clinic nearest you. If you are underage it will mostly likely be free and it's always confidential.

You have the choice between the pill (which can be taken up to 9 - 11weeks, at home or at a friends house) or the vacuum method (in clinic procedure). Personally I used the pill method so I could be at home with my husband but some women want to have the surgical, so it's done and over with when they leave the clinic.

You will be financially screened - usually this goes on the honor system, weight/height taken, blood pressure checked, pricked -fingertip- to check for rH factor and anemia, you will receive an ultrasound or sonogram to determine gestational age. You may be asked if you want to view the image, this is up to you. You will receive antibiotics, anti-nausea tabs and pain meds. Take them ALL. You must finish at the very least your course of antibiotics. Follow all aftercare instructions and go back to your after care appt. This last step is vital, you must go back for your aftercare appt! Abortion begins a new menstrual cycle. You should have a regular period in 4 to 8 weeks.you should have the option of receiving birth control - again this will most likely be free, take it and use it correctly.

If you are underage you may want to check this site out to see about parental consent laws and whatnot. http://www.sexetc.org/state *Even if it says you need parental consent, you don't. Call PP and tell them you cannot tell your parents; by law, a judicial bypass must be available to those minors who just cannot get their parents/guardians permission. A judge signs the parental consent acting as a de facto guardian. Abortion funding http://www.nnaf.org/help.html

Some state medicaid program do pay for it, use this link and figure out if your state covers it. If they do, you can go to "welfare" office and get emergency coverage and the state and taxes will help pay for it. http://www.ourbodiesourselves.org/book/companion.asp?id=20&compID=64

It is entirely possible to have an abortion and not feel guilt because you knew it was the right thing to do. Other women's stories about their abortions and their choice to not regret it. ImNotSorry.net

Ps - They don't care about your immigration status at PP. Also when you are there, get STD tested.

The effectiveness of emergency contraception is presented differently from the effectiveness of ongoing methods of birth control: it is expressed as a percentage reduction in pregnancy rate for a single use of EC. Different ECP regimens have different effectiveness levels, and even for a single regimen different studies may find varying rates of effectiveness. Using an example of "75% effective", an article in American Family Physician explains the effectiveness calculation thus: ... these numbers do not translate into a pregnancy rate of 25 percent. Rather, they mean that if 1,000 women have unprotected intercourse in the middle two weeks of their menstrual cycles, approximately 80 will become pregnant. Use of emergency contraceptive pills would reduce this number by 75 percent, to 20 women. The progestin-only regimen (using levonorgestrel) is reported by the U.S. FDA to have an 89% effectiveness. As of 2006, the labeling on the U.S. brand Plan B explained this effectiveness rate by stating, "Seven out of every eight women who would have gotten pregnant will not become pregnant."

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.

The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great methid to get pregnant fast https://tr.im/51901
