Embarrasing, but... I can't find my ... ahem ... vagina?

First off, this is NOT a troll question!

I am 13 (obviously still a virgin) and have been having periods for about 2 years. I know that means I DO have a vagina... plus the fact the doctors identified me as female when I was born... BUT I've never been able to... ahem... find it. About a year ago I tried to put in a tampon so I could go swimming, but I ended up searching for half an hour. And then giving up. D:

I'm kind of scared. D: I don't know what to do. Is this something to be worried about? Because all I can find is something that I think is the 'urethra' or whatever. Not the... ahem... thing I mentioned earlier.

I'm a sophomore this year in high school, and I wanted to 'upgrade' to tampons, but ... D: I guess I'm too stupid. I can't even find the hole -.-'

This may not be a troll question, but you are surely going to get troll answers, honey. Let me see if I can give you some ideas before the trolls and mean people take over.

You can find the opening to your vagina with a hand mirror. Spread the labia (lips) apart, and just find where it goes in. It's not that hard to see with a mirror. It will be sort of closed looking, because your hymen is probably still there. So it is not going to look like a huge tunnel. But it is there.

Another way to approach this is to ask your mother, an older sister, an aunt, or anyone else you trust to help you fit your tampon in. A lot of girls have trouble with inserting a tampon the first few times, so the question will not seem the least bit weird. When that person helps you with the tampon, the route to your vagina will immediately be obvious.

Good luck, honey. I hope this helps and I wish you well.

ha ha honey dont feel bad. i was 28 when i finally found mine and still a virgin at 30 by choice. its really hard to find when you are a virgin. there is that skin that separates the butt hole from the vagina. just above that, tucked away you will find the opening. you kinda have to push down and it then up to move the area around it to find it. im kinda stretched out now from using a vibrator, but you have one.
