I CRASHED MY DADS PORSCHE?

Question

Every-time I am pre-menstrual, I get clumsy. Does this happen to anyone else around period time?? I'd really like to hear from you if it does!! I'm freaking out I crashed my dads Porsche today!! I keep dropping things and crying (I don't even know why I am upset!) someone save me!!
Any comments/experiences/suggestions are as always appreciated.

Wow! I sure hope that YOU are OK. You have to think in terms of priority. Your Dad's Porsche is only #4. I'm sure he can always get it repaired or replaced.

#1 = Your health. The fact that you survived a crash that may have done much much worse to you and that you are well enough to even type this question means you should be thankful. Automobile accidents frequently do much worse to those involved.

#2 = Others' health. You didn't kill or injure a human or animal, did you? Neighbor's cat? Little Brother? Innocent bystanders?

#3 = Others' property. Who ELSE's property did you damage and have to pay for? Maybe "just" a Ferrari?

#4 = Your property. (Dad's Porsche, "Hazel" goes here.)



Make an appointment today with a medical professional qualified to treat your condition. Until then, I humbly suggest that you do whatever is necessary to help you with your transportation needs during these difficult times. Car pool, use public transportation, get a ride with friends, call a cab, employ a chauffeur, etc.

Give him some credit. Daughters are far more important than cars to the dads who love them. Try to handle this like a mature adult as best you can and I'm sure that whatever the outcome you will impress him.

Wow you just didnt see the wall?? Are you sure that something else not pms? Where you worried, distracted? Maybe something to do with your hurt ribs?

Well the main thing is your ok and your dad would give a million 'hazels' to have you safe!! and with a car that hot iam sure hes got great insurance and a nice big docs pay!!!



Now as for pms wow Iam a mess i cry laugh get angry depressed and them embarrased self conceious every thing then i was on the pill which made me anxious like worrying about ridicilous things like getting a brain tumor for no reason!!!! So now iam waiting to start a new pill and hopefully itl cool things down a bit!!! I also can never remember anything when i have pms.

I find drinking lots of green tea helps relax me- that or smoking which is bad for me and i do be so tense id go through a box!! Also i kinda scence when iam getting emotional and i turn on music and dance around my room to take my energy out instead of taking it out on a person. oh and i avoid alcohol when i have it also.

WOW – I think you should refrain from driving expensive cars, when you are on your period.



But seriously, I was never clumsy but I think I recognize something else that you said – some woman (a small group) are plagued by a horrible irritability, before or during their cycles and, usually, when you have that level of crankiness and emotionality it can lead to you just being pissed/ or easily pissed off, PERIOD.



Now in that respect, have you ever noticed someone becoming increasingly angry? – their movements and actions also become increasingly erratic, they start slamming things around, they're short become short with people, their attention starts to drift – it’s like caught a mild form of nervous/ angry ADD.



I am not saying that you go insane and hit psycho mode or something – just think back to an argument that you have had with someone, because they were irritating the hell out of you and try to recall your actions (like if you were washing dishes and having an argument – you might have had an angry hand moment and broken a dish or thrown against something).



In that respect, you are not clumsy – just too annoyed to deal with things, at that moment. So, try to pinpoint a moment of "clumsiness" and recall if it coincided with a moment of irritability.



If it does, than you may in luck because there is medication for it!!!



If not, speak with a doctor and please refrain from any heavy lifting, or working any type of vehicle :-).

Are you insured as a secondary driver on your dad's car insurance?

Either way I would imagine his excess on an insurance policy for such a high-value car would be too big for him to think about claiming.

You just need to be frank with your dad and apologize about your lapse of concentration which caused the crash. I'm sure he'll understand that we all make mistakes, and that even though he likes the Porsche more than his other cars, it is still just a piece of metal that can be repaired, and you luckily weren't injured.

Suggestions: When your Pre-mentrual Dont:

sit any exams,

make any life changing decisions,

buy anything of value,

touch anything of value,

watch anything sad

or too happy (Could make you think that it's better than your own life- which would then be sad),

don't take any pets for walks,

don't take any children to the park,

and don't do anything risky or exciting.



In other words, have a few slob days-

eat chocolate (It's one of the safest foods),

watch Bridget Jones Diary,

and stay in pyjamas all day (Getting changed could cause accidents).

I don't recall being clumsy that time of the month myself....... I'm mostly extremely emotional and curled up in a ball, in pain and extremely nauseas the first 2 days
