Ok, my wife is in Poland right now and I can't be there to help her when shes feeling sick, so of course I'm worried. She went out with her girlfriends on Saturday and Sunday she was sick. She got buzzed the night b4 and her friend that had the same shots as her is sick too. She was throwing up and feeling sick all day Sunday and today "Monday" she got her period 6 days early. She told me it's nothing to worry about, but she is still feeling bad (from period) but she is having to change her tampon every 30 mins! She doesn't get it this early normally but she told me it's nothing to be worried about with the every 30 mins. I trust my wife but I still worry and the body only has so much blood, so can someone please give me their opinions please.
Thank You
Mike

I think it's wonderful that you are so worried about her. You are a good husband. Since today is the first day of her period I wouldn't worry yet about the blood. Tampons don't hold that much blood. It just looks like alot. If this level of bleeding continues for longer than 6 hours or gets heavier, or if she starts to feel light headed, then she should go to the hospital - Otherwise I wouldn't worry. 6 days early isn't that early, it happens occationally.

Also I'd have her call you periodically through the day so that you don't worry so much about her.

Good Luck

I had the same thing happen to me when I went overseas to Germany. It started on the airplane and was very heavy the whole time I was there (9 days). My last day in Germany (heading back to the US), my period ceased. I think it was the stress of going out of the country and being out of the country. My other experience with extreme bleeding was when I started on the birth control patch. I was going through tampons every 30 minutes-1 hour with extreme cramping. It only lasted a day, and I was fine after that...not sure why that happened to me though. I'm sure your wife is fine, especially when she says she is. It's good you are concerned! :)

Every 30 minutes scares me unless she is using a lites tampon. I get heavy periods and have to change a super plus tampon sometimes every 2 hours and I feel like that is WAY too frequently.

Yes..the body only has so much blood to lose but considering that these are blood from her uterinary line that needs to be shed, it's okay. If she's usually not a heavy bleeder, then I would consider having her go check it out with a doctor. It's better safe than sorry.

Can it be alcoho poisening??? Did they drink at a bar? Check that out.

Good luck!

A friend of mine went to the doctor last week because she was bleeding too heavy, like 2 pads an hour. The doctor told her if she went through 4 to go to the emergency room.

This is my "non professional" opinion, but it seems to me that she just had a few too many to drink and is feeling ill from a hangover. As far as her period, she's probably just having a very heavy flow. It's normal. My doctor told me that it's considered abnormal when you soak through 3 maxi pads in an hour. I know you're concerned about your wife, but trust her to know her body. I think she'll be alright.

Since I don't know how old your wife is, this doesn't seem to usually to me. A woman cycle can change just like that. I know that sometime woman who work together get the periods together too. I wouldn't worry about the bleeding, somethings in the beginning it can be heavy. As long as she starts to slow down.

A woman's period can go off for whatever reason in the world. Stress, illness, venus being in the third horizon, getting drunk and having a hangover, yeah.

If she starts fainting she needs to get to the doctor. If the period lasts longer than 10 days as well.

Depends on what size tampon she is talking about. That does sound like a heavy bleed to me and if continues into tomorrow I would have her call her Dr just to be safe. Is it possible she is having a miscarriage??

I would try to talk her into going to the doctor. There could've been something put into her and her friends drink that they didnt even know about.

I know it might not be nothing at all, but it doesn't hurt to go find out for safety. She has no idea what is going on and changing her tampon that much is extreme, I have never known that much except for after births and such.

Please, try to talk her into going to the doctor. If you can reach her friend, try to talk her into it too, maybe they can go together.

Believe it or not, different time zones, airplane flights, stress of leaving the country, leaving family members (yourself) can bring on a menstrual period early. A woman knows their own body, so if she says it's No big deal, then it's no big deal. As far as the sickness from drinking, it's most likely a hangover. When you have your menstrual period, it's more likely you'll get sick easier also, as your resistance is slightly lower.
