Okay so I am a young female and around the beginning of January I had sex with my boyfriend and had a bad yeast infection that lasted a few months and now whenever I have sex im in so much pain. Its almost as if my infection never went away, but i don't have a constant burning or itching down there but the soreness and pain is always there even if it's just from foreplay. It has taken a tole on my sex life because i know i'm going to be in pain so im never in the mood and it's hard for me to even get wet down there and even if i do i still have the pain afterwards. Right after sex I go pee and it burns imediately, im swollen, sore and have burning. idk if this is because my infection never went away completely or if theres some underlying problem. Also when i go for a long time It starts to hurt even more and leads to me making my boyfriend stop which frustrates him as well. I've been to the doctors several times and was put on diflucan a good five to ten times so im wondering if since my symptoms arent always present it's not a yeast infection anymore and it only occurs after intercourse or foreplay. Any contact down there just about brings tears im in so much pain and my boyfriend gets so upset because I never want to and it almost always ends in me making him stop. and the pain lasts from a few hours after sex to sometimes days. My doctor doesn't seem to be helping me and I dont understand what's wrong has this happened to anyone else?

It has happened to me (recurring yeast infections with pain during and after intercourse). I also went and saw a bunch of doctors. Turns out, I have a pelvic floor dysfunction (coupled with vulvodynia). Check it out online and see if you have the symptoms. Doctors are only starting to know about this even though women have been suffering from it for a while now. Either way, consult different doctors until one of them can tell you what you have. I've been there and I know how discouraging it is. My boyfriend at the time was so understanding and I can tell yours is as well (even though he's frustrated, he seems supportive enough if he's not having sex with other people). Best of luck, i know it's not easy!

The medical term for a vaginal yeast infection is vulvovaginal candidiasis. The symptoms can be all or some of the following: vaginal itching vaginal burning vaginal irritation painful urination painful sexual intercourse If you think you have an infection, make an appointment with your doctor. you have running infection and Dr's do not usually help this. You should take hot bath with 2 to 4 cups of white vinegar in the water.

Wipe your self front to back and NEVER fold and wipe again. One wipe per paper.

keep his dirty fingers and parts out of you for a while. He could be infecting you with sperm or dirty parts. Make sure you use protection to keep you clean.

douche with hydrogen peroxide and water. using a douche bottle 1/3rd peroxide and 2/3rds water. douche daily for 5 days and clean your self. Will restore the levels of the vagina and cure this up.

If he had infection he can give it back to you. So again condoms or NO sex for months.

Will clean you up and restore the health of your vagina. Don't let it get out of condition and make sure anything going in you is washed and protected. The worse is when this starts to smell fishy and it will if not already. Peroxide will kill odor as well.
