Yeah got it in one hun! I'd definitely be looking at your implanon implant in your arm and blaming that for not losing weight! Any form of contraceptive pill/device is well noted for increasing the appetite. Have you considered using the coil? Don't give up and as you so lovingly put it feel fucked off, go have a review of your contraception and you can E-mail me anytime hun! Only too pleased to be of help!xxx

When you first began working out did you notice a weight loss even like a tiny one? Because your body can take a long time to lose weight if you are doing the same exact workout every day it becomes routine and familiar change it up do 3 different workouts a week see if there is any change. Either way if that isn't the problem I bet that you have a beautiful body and you should love it and just be as healthy as you can be.

I hope that I helped.

it does seem strange that your not loosing weight. Especially with everything your doing.

I must say though,my friend had that implant for contraception she was on it for 2 years and also had a similar problem (with weight) she came off it february this year and lost over a stone (without dieting) she is now a size 10 ,which was the size she was at before she had the implant.

although saying this everyone is different!! maybe worth trying a different form of contraception though? you never know!

hope this helps

You don't say how old you are or if you have children, my youngest was gaining weight and trying everything to lose it, it turns out to be a medical condition which she is now being treated for. Go to your gp and see if there is a medical reason. Good luck keep your chin up.

You should check with your doctor. It could be a thyroid problem.

I am also a size 12 and I am trying to loose weight. I do exercise but my diet has not changed so I see why I have not lost any weight.

Side Effects:

Besides irregular bleeding, the most frequent side effects causing women to stop using Implanon include mood swings, weight gain, breast tenderness, headache, acne, and depression.

Certain medicines and supplements may make Implanon less effective. These include

the antibiotic rifampin — other antibiotics do not make Implanon less effective

certain medicines that are taken by mouth for yeast infections

certain HIV medicines

certain anti-seizure medicines

St. John's wort

Keep in mind Implanon doesn't protect against sexually transmitted infections. Use a latex or female condom to reduce the risk of infection.

Go to your doctor and talk to him/her. rule out a medical condition like thyroid problem first. and yes, i have known several people that implant in arm made gain lots of weight. They have all switched to depoprovera shot and have less problems with that
