Question:
Question about period?

So my period has been heavier than ever. Like, I didn't go to school on Monday and went home early today.
On Monday, it was extremely heavy and lots of chunks of blood comin out about the size of my pinky or a little more.
Tuesday morning, there was barely any blood on my pad. It stopped and I was able to go to school.
For the rest of the day, I didn't change my pad til after taking a shower before going to bed.
Then this morning I got blood again. At first it was a little but increased, and the chunks are coming back again.
Also, before the incident on Monday, about 4 days ago my period ended.
I have been fingered before by my boyfriend but never had sex.
Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm only 17.
I looked up some stuff and it said something about having a miscarriage.......that's not possible though right? I've never had sex before.

Hello,

In my experience Traditional Chinese Medicine has more understanding of these period issues than regular medicine. When the blood does not flow properly, it clots, causing "chunks". Sometimes in the process of getting blocked some heat will be created than can cause a heavier flow. The on and off again quality of the flow has to do with the blockage. You were not pregnant... such a blockage can result from stress and emotional tension or lack of exercise. I suggest you visit an acupuncturist in your area to try acupuncture or herbal medicine if the problem persists.
