I know that walking is recommended to ease pains and give comfort, but i always hate to stop Tae-Bo for 6 whole days. Tae-Bo contains kicks and abs and such and thus i am not sure whether it is safe or not to exercise during my period.

Yes, it's safe! Women were taught that it was a 'delicate' time of the month, but I guarantee you, female athletes don't stop training in their Olympic Sports because they have periods, nor do they not attend basketball, soccer or any of the other sports we like.
Also when you become to much muscle as an athlete, be warned your periods may get irregular and/or stop. That's called Amenorrhea, so don't be too scared if that happens (after you have been careful with pregnancy etc..) and tell your doc about it :) It's normal in very lean female athletes and don't worry :)
I would check with your doctor though if you are that concerned about your abdomen being 'kicked' during the that time of the month. :)

Yes it is very safe it is actually very good to do some form of exercising during that time of the month. Just make sure you also drink a lot of water. By doing exercising will also decrease the pain.
